Where to find the lake itself.

Lough Sheelin sits on the borders of Cavan, Meath and Westmeath - a 90-minute drive from Dublin via the N3. The Fisheries Office at Kilnahard on the western shore is the main access point.

We aim to respond within a few days, though as a volunteer-run association there may be slower turnaround in the off-season.

For urgent matters – reporting an offence on the lough or a pollution incident – please phone a committee member directly or contact Inland Fisheries Ireland.

    If your enquiry is about joining the LSTPA - annual membership is €40 and goes directly into stream rehabilitation, monitoring and habitat work. You can sign up online or speak to any committee member.
