Youth Day at the IFI Premises, Lough Sheelin

APGAI Ireland played their part in a very successful youth day with the LSTPA, supported by Recreational Angling Ireland. A total of 34 boys and girls took part in fly casting and fly tying, before being taken out on the lake to catch their first wild brown trout.

A number of trout were brought to the boat and released again to provide sport for another day. The day ended with a barbecue, certificates for every youth who took part, and a free raffle in which 20 fly rods and other angling tackle were given out.
